Production update

First TAIPAN models are on the bench.

The first series TAIPAN F3F airframes are being assembled and checked.

Current technical status

The current wing panels are around 625 g each and are expected to stay below 700 g per wing even with additional reinforcements. The complete kit is currently around 1650 g, keeping the TAIPAN in a useful range for strong-wind F3F without unnecessary weight.

The full-core tailplanes are light and robust, currently around 35 g and the ballast concept allows approximately 2.3 kg of brass ballast without relying on tungsten.

The photos below show the near-series state. Some finish details, especially colour proportions, may still differ from final production aircraft.
